In the 1st box, add the URL of  the page  which is returning 404 page not found error and leave the second box empty as it is .

Now you are done  , Press “Save”  link  and then click on “Save Changes” buttons to finish .


Now open a new tab and type the url which is unavailable and is added for redirection above . You can see it getting redirected to Home Page .

Go to Blogger.com >> Dashboard >> Your Blog  >> Settings >> Search Preference
>>  Custom Page not Found  >> Edit

Copy and paste the below code in the box and click on save button

Now you are done . You can check with  any un-available URL such as " www.yourdomain.com/xyz " which will given a message with a image to your users and will be redirected to home page with in few seconds of time .
